Important: This article applies only to email accounts on DirectAdmin web hosting. If you use the Hosted Email service, use the current settings shown in the Setup tab of that service instead.
Use these values when your mail app asks for the incoming (IMAP) server:

| Server | mail.yourdomain.com when its DNS and certificate are correctly configured for your domain, otherwise the server hostname supplied for your service |

The server hostname for your service is shown in your Client Area service information. Use it if the domain based hostname does not validate.
Sending mail
Outgoing (SMTP) settings are different and are covered in the separate SMTP setup article, record 5320.
